MANHYIA PALACE MUSEUM

Catch a 45-minute flight to Kumasi, the seat of the historic Ashanti Empire. We will explore craft villages and a museum rich in culture and history.

Our first stop will be the Manhyia Palace Museum, where you will learn about the history and exploits of the Ashanti Tribe, one of the most powerful ethnic groups in Ghana. Manhyia Palace served as the official residence of Ashanti kings until 1974. Today, it functions as a museum housing the treasures and heritage of the Ashanti Kingdom.

NTONSO ADINKRA VILLAGE

Our next stop is the Ntonso Adinkra Village. Here, participants will discover the rich symbolism of Adinkra symbols, learning about their meanings and cultural significance in everyday life.

Participants will also have the opportunity to stamp their favorite Adinkra symbols onto cloth strips, creating personalized souvenirs to take home.

ADANWOMASE KENTE VILLAGE & COCOA FARM

Our final stop of the day is the Adanwomase Kente Village, known for its centuries-old tradition of handwoven Kente cloth.

You will be guided through the weaving process and even try your hands on the loom. The art of Kente weaving has been passed down through generations and remains a proud cultural practice today.

We will also visit a nearby cocoa farm, offering a chance to see firsthand the origin of Ghana’s world-famous chocolate and understand its significance to local agriculture and economy
