Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your private safari begins with an early 8:00 AM pick-up from Nairobi, embarking on a scenic drive toward the world-renowned Masai Mara. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley and pass through the vibrant town of Narok. Upon arrival at your camp, a warm lunch awaits. Later in the day, you’ll set off on your first evening game drive, where you’ll begin to spot some of Africa’s most iconic wildlife. As the sun sets, you’ll return to camp for a restful evening surrounded by nature.
Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Masai Mara
Today is dedicated to a full-day game drive in the vast plains of the Masai Mara. With a chance to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino—you’ll venture deep into the reserve, observing animals in their natural habitat. Midway through the day, enjoy a peaceful picnic lunch beneath a lone tree in the savannah. In the late afternoon, your adventure continues with a magical sunset drive back to camp. If traveling between July and September, you’ll be treated to the awe-inspiring Great Wildebeest Migration, where herds cross the Mara River into Kenya. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, guests can opt for a hot air balloon ride over the Mara at $430 per person, complete with a champagne bush breakfast upon landing.
Day 3: Cultural Visit & Transfer to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, immerse yourself in the rich traditions of the Maasai people with a visit to a local village. Here, you’ll witness traditional dances and gain insight into their customs and way of life. After this cultural encounter, continue your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. Once you arrive and have lunch, you’ll head out on an evening game drive. Lake Nakuru is famed for its white rhinos, vibrant flamingos, and diverse birdlife, all set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Rift Valley.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha & Crescent Island
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru. After breakfast, you’ll travel to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch at your lakeside accommodation. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat ride across the lake toward Crescent Island, where you’ll enjoy a unique walking safari among freely roaming wildlife like zebras and giraffes—an experience not easily found elsewhere.
Day 5: Return to Nairobi
Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast at Lake Naivasha. Afterward, begin your journey back to Nairobi. You’ll be dropped off at your preferred location or the airport, marking the end of a memorable 5-day safari filled with adventure, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
