This 6-day private safari offers an unforgettable journey through Kenya’s most iconic parks—Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli. The adventure begins with a scenic drive to Masai Mara, where you’ll experience cultural immersion at a Maasai village and enjoy thrilling game drives in search of the Big Five. On the second day, you’ll explore the Mara River and, if visiting between July and September, witness the dramatic Great Wildebeest Migration. From there, the journey continues to Lake Nakuru, renowned for its rhinos and flamingos, followed by a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park. Here, you’ll enjoy game drives set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro and observe large herds of elephants. The safari concludes with a relaxed return to Nairobi, offering a perfect blend of wildlife, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Your adventure begins with a private pickup at 8:00 AM from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi. From there, you’ll embark on a scenic road trip through the Great Rift Valley, with panoramic views and a cultural pass through Narok Town. Upon arrival at your exclusive safari camp in the Masai Mara, you’ll settle in and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll experience an authentic cultural visit to a traditional Maasai village, where the locals warmly welcome you with dances, storytelling, and insight into their centuries-old customs.
Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Masai Mara
After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive across the iconic Masai Mara. You’ll track the Big Five—lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, and buffalo—and witness the rich biodiversity that defines this vast reserve. The journey takes you to the Mara River near the Kenya–Tanzania border, a dramatic setting during the Great Wildebeest Migration (July to September), where thousands of animals cross crocodile-infested waters. A scenic picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the heart of the reserve before returning to camp by sunset.
Optional: For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you can pre-book a sunrise hot air balloon ride at $430 per person. The one-hour flight offers sweeping views over the savannah, ending with a champagne bush breakfast upon landing.
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
Enjoy a slow-paced morning before departing for Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive introduces you to a change in scenery—from endless plains to wooded hills and lakeshores. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and then head out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is known for its rhino sanctuary and its spectacular birdlife, especially flamingos that decorate the lake’s edge. You may also encounter giraffes, lions, and leopards in this compact but wildlife-rich park.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Amboseli
Depart early and travel south toward Amboseli National Park. Arrive just in time for lunch and prepare for your first Amboseli game drive in the evening. This park offers some of Africa’s most dramatic vistas—majestic herds of elephants walking across open plains with the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the background. The golden sunset over the savannah creates the perfect finish to the day.
Day 5: Morning Safari in Amboseli
Begin the day with a half-day safari across Amboseli’s unique landscapes, from marshes and acacia woodlands to expansive open plains. Spot elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, and diverse birdlife. After the morning game drive, return to camp for a hot lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the amenities of your lodge.
Day 6: Return to Nairobi
On your final day, enjoy breakfast at your lodge before heading back to Nairobi. You’ll be dropped off at a convenient location in the city or directly at the airport. It’s recommended to book an evening flight (after 5:00 PM) to allow for a smooth and unhurried return journey, marking the end of your unforgettable safari.
