DAY 2: ACCRA CITY TOUR
Today, you will discover Ghana’s capital city Accra. Explore this 146 years old city with a drive through a blend of medieval and modern architecture which symbolizes the cultural mix of the city. We will visit:

DAY 3: ACCRA – CAPE COAST AND ELMINA
Check out from hotel and embark on a scenic drive to Cape Coast, the first capital city of Ghana. Our first stop will be at Cape Coast Castle to listen and see the “horrors of the slave trade”. Built in 1664, Cape Coast Castle served as one of the over 40 Slave castle and forts that served as holding places for enslaved people awaiting shipment to the Americas.
Continue your tour to the Elmina Castle. Built in 1482, it it the oldest European structure in Sub-Sahara Africa in relation to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

DAY 4: ELMINA – KUMASI
Check out from the hotel after breakfast for a drive to Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Kingdom.
En-route to Kumasi, you will make a stop at Assin Assin Manso, the burial site of two former slaves from the USA and Jamaica whose remains were re-interred in August 1998 during Ghana’s first Emancipation Day Celebration. A visit to “the Slave River” or “Donkor Nsuo” offers the chance to see the place where captured Africans had their ‘’Last Bath’’ before being confined in the Slave Dungeons to await shipment to the Americas and the Caribbean.

DAY 5: MANHYIA PALACE MUSUEM AND CRAFT VILLAGES TOUR
Explore the Kingdom of the Ashanti Tribe this full day tour the Craft Villages and Manhyia Palace Museum. Our first stop will be the Manhyia Palace Museum to listen to the history and exploit of the Ashanti Tribe, one of the powerful tribes in Ghana. Manhyia Palace was the official residence of Ashanti Kings until 1974. The Palace has now been converted into a museum which houses the treasures of the Ashanti Kingdom.
The next stop will be the Ntonso Adinkra Village. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the different Adinkra Symbols and their meaning and the roles they play in the everyday life of people. Participants will also have the opportunity to stamp their favourite Adinkra Symbols into cloth stripe to be kept as souvenirs.
Our final stop of the day will be the Adanwomase Kente Village. We will be taken through the process of weaving the Kente cloth. Participants will be allowed to try their hands on working the loom. The kente cloth which is handwoven on looms is centuries old tradition that has been passed on to generations.
We will also have the opportunity to visit a cocoa farm to see the genesis of our favorite chocolates.

Day 6: KUMASI – AKOSOMBO
Check out from your hotel after breakfast for a scenic drive to Akosombo. Check in to your river front accommodation and take the rest of the day off for relaxation.

DAY 7: TAFI ATOME MONKEY SANCTUARY AND WLI WATWEFALLS
The Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary is a renowned ecotourism site located in the Volta Region of Ghana. It offers a unique experience for nature lovers, wildlife enthusiasts, and cultural explorers. Nestled in lush greenery, the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary is home to sacred mona monkeys, which are revered by the local Ewe community. The sanctuary is a testament to the harmonious relationship between humans and wildlife, fostered through traditional beliefs and conservation efforts.
The Wli Waterfall, located in the Volta Region of Ghana, is the tallest waterfall in West Africa and a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Surrounded by lush greenery and spectacular landscapes, a tour of the Wli Waterfall offers an unforgettable experience.

DAY 8: CRUISE ON VOLTA RIVER AND FAREWELL DINNER
After breakfast, go on a 1-hour peaceful cruise on the Volta River. Soak in the green hilly surrounding views.
Check out after the cruise for a drive to Accra. You will be taken to the arts and craft market in Accra to shop for souvenirs and get other personal stuff.
Later in the evening, you will be hosted to a farewell dinner and review the entire trip.

DAY 9: DEPARTURE
Today marks the end of your memorable journey through Ghana, you will be transferred to Kotoka International Airport to complete your departure formalities.
